Hola, me llamo María

I am a Spanish Creative Director and Fashion Designer currently based in France.
My experience as a set designer began back in 2014 in London, where I co-founded an event production business.
I consider my natural talent to translate and manifest ideas into aesthetics one of my strongest abilities. Additionally, I excel at pinpointing artists and directing them towards the client’s vision.
Through the different commissions I have worked on, I developed an unique "know-how" and learned to problem-solve in ingenious ways.

Trying to define myself in one role has been a hard task since I am also a rope access technician specialized in pyrotechnics. This is a profession that I discovered through the need to be resilient. It is a new world for me that teaches me rigor, organization, and discipline, alongside a love for traveling, sports, and nature.

The Spanish Sorbet is the name of my fashion brand, a project that I created under adverse circumstances in response to the need to adapt due to the appalling consequences of COVID-19. It reflects both a form of resilience and my desire to communicate my voice through fashion. I started learning pattern making and sewing during the global lockdown, and later on, I moved to Bulgaria to develop my first collection, "Destino" (Destiny). This collection represents an epiphany of my internal universe as an artist, where I put into practice all my skills, including my entrepreneurial spirit.

My love for music and history are the pillars that empower my creative potential, so it is my desire to communicate my visions through the coherence of set design and fashion.
