AUTHENTICITY

As the founder of my fashion brand, The Spanish Sorbet, established in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 2020, just after the global pandemic, I embody all the qualities of a Creative Director. My background as a set designer laid the foundation that naturally transitioned into fashion. My personal journey and cultural background have done the rest. The Spanish Sorbet is my artistic response to a chaotic yet marvelous childhood. It is an introspection, an exploration of myself as an artist.

Fashion design is deeply connected to illustration, pop art, music and complex subjects. It is a subtle art form that is often dismissed as superficial by the masses. However, fashion is far from superficial; it is an art form like any other, with the power to channel chaos, transform it into beauty, and create coherence from difficult subjects and complex concepts. These are the things that make us human and shape our civilization.

This coherence comes from the delicate art of pattern-making, a discipline I taught myself during my journey to becoming a fashion designer, also during the global pandemic in Seville.
